Our accessibility goal
We want people to find emergency room information and read patient guides on phones, laptops, and assistive technology. Clear language, predictable headings, readable contrast, and keyboard access are part of the design.
Features in this theme
The child theme uses responsive page layouts, visible keyboard focus, plain navigation links, labeled website search and contact fields, and content that can be enlarged. Animations are reduced when your device requests reduced motion.
Known limits
Accessibility also depends on WordPress plugins, embedded maps, external websites, imported facility content, and administrator configuration. A third-party map or advertising unit may not meet the same standards. Directory listings may have incomplete source data.
Getting information another way
If you cannot use part of a page, send a description and page URL through our contact form. Please avoid sensitive medical information. We will review website access problems and try to offer the relevant public information in a usable format.
Emergency requests
This contact method is not monitored for emergencies. If you believe you are facing a medical emergency in the United States, call 911. For communication assistance during a hospital visit, contact the hospital directly and ask about available accessibility services.
Continuous improvement
We review usability feedback and work to improve navigation, form labels, link descriptions, and compatibility. Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time certificate.
